Coaching Through Life’s Transitions.
Trust. Safety. Time. Space.
Helping people discover clarity and direction in the face of change.
We live in an incredibly fast-paced world where everyone could use some time and space to slow down and think about themselves and their goals. Ebony Arc transition coaching provides just that.
My goal is to help you explore and plan your next steps. I offer a non-judgmental environment of trust and safety, allowing clients to understand who you are and who you want to be.
I will partner with you as you figure out how to get there.
Areas of Focus —
Career Exploration
Including figuring out what you would like to do next, plans for a job search, support and accountability as you work through the plan.
Retirement
Including navigating the identity shift and designing a fulfilling next chapter, complete with a clear action plan to make it a vibrant reality.

What is Coaching?
Coaching is —
Coaching is…
— when a certified coach enters into a partnership that honors the client’s inherent wholeness and their capacity to find their own answers, fostering an equal power dynamic throughout their journey of change.
…NOT Mentoring…
— which is when someone with similar experience shares suggestions with you to achieve success while avoiding or managing pitfalls.
…NOT Counseling or Therapy…
— which is when a licensed professional helps you explore and process trauma you experienced in the past.
…NOT Consulting…
— which is when an expert parachutes in for a period of time, evaluates a client’s situation, provides suggestions for improving that situation, and moves onto the next client.
Change is inevitable in life.
That doesn’t mean it’s easy.
Let's be honest – change is hard, even when it's the kind of change we want.
Whether you're looking for a new job, retiring, dealing with a new boss, or going through something personal like a divorce or graduation, transitions can leave you feeling like you're floating without an anchor. That's completely normal, by the way. Transition coaching helps you find your footing when everything feels uncertain. We'll work together to sort out what you can actually control (which is sometimes more than you think) versus what you just need to ride out. You'll develop some practical ways to manage the stress and stay effective when your usual routines are disrupted. And we'll explore who you're becoming in this new chapter – because change often makes us question everything about ourselves, and that's actually not always a bad thing.
Let’s talk about how transition coaching can help you navigate change!
The Process
My coaching engagements follow a clear structure.
Discovery
We get to know one another. You help me understand your “secret sauce” — what makes you, you.
Feeding and Watering
We meet 1:1 and make incremental progress towards your overarching goal. It’s important to note that sometimes along the way our goals change. That’s okay, too, as life is rarely linear.
Planting the Seeds
We identify your objective and set your goal for our coaching journey.
Flourishing in the Future
We wrap up, review progress and develop an action plan for moving forward.

“Ebony has an extremely even keel, which is critical for a coach. She doesn’t allow her emotions to pass over her face while she’s coaching, or give anything away about her own personal feelings about the discussion. Ebony was also very consistent about ensuring that we were treating our sessions as coaching vice therapy, and she always pushed me to find the answer for myself vice interjecting her own advice and opinions. While I sometimes would have loved advice, I appreciated that she pushed me to find the answer within myself with her probing questions and insights, and hewed closely to the tenets of coaching.”

“I learned that my values of community, honesty, and justice really show up in how I view the world, and furthermore, seek to orient my current and future work. One realization that has stuck with me is the idea that if something doesn’t exist within a space, sometimes you have to create it or take the lead on making room for it yourself. I seek to actively honor that and not allow fear to hold me back from being a leader in that regard. Finally, I found that I tend to view many things from a creative and artistic perspective, and that is actually helpful in finding my way through to solutions for issues that I may be facing.”

“There was utility in having dedicated time to stop, think, and reflect on the situations that I was in. I appreciated the opportunity to role play and game out how I would conduct myself in difficult and/or uncomfortable situations. I am a verbal processor, and so having the opportunity to talk through how to comport myself and act as a leader was very helpful. Enrolling in leadership training was also a vote of confidence from my supervisor, in that he was interested in my professional development.”

“My buddy noticed changes. Specifically, that I’ve done a lot of introspection – who I am, what I want, what I want to get out of life. Talking with you has strengthened the process. You helped me think about things from a perspective that I hadn’t considered before. I’ve strengthened my sense of identity, values, and direction.”

“I gained insights into some of the drivers affecting my ability to network and generate new opportunities for career and personal growth. I also gained more clarity about values I hold dear and which I would not compromise regardless of where I work. I also better understand which approaches and behaviors I am most likely to exhibit in any work environment and why.”

“I think the counterfactual would not be a trajectory in which my life would have otherwise been the same had I not done coaching. I think this coaching began at a time in which I was aware of some struggles, but continued through a time in which there were many difficulties to navigate. Had I not had the tools developed during coaching, I believe that this difficult period would have been significantly more challenging.”
Coaching that helps people find clarity, direction, and growth.
